Traffic manager
The process of measuring and controlling network traffic to avoid congestion and other issues is known as bandwidth management and is supported by UserGate. The Bandwidth Manager module of the program enables administrators to create speed limiting rules, which are applied according to certain criteria. There are two types of rules: WAN adapter-specific rules and user (custom) rules. A custom rule allows you to specify a speed limit and priority for particular traffic and is defined by a set of conditions, such as traffic direction, source and destination IP addresses, protocol (TCP/UDP), etc.
When setting rule priority, an administrator can choose between relative and absolute priority. Queues with an absolute priority are intended for privileged traffic processing. If need be, this traffic can fill all the bandwidth on the dedicated Internet channel.
